Welcome to The Daily Pull.  The Daily  Pull is a beer blog written by Brady Walen, a beer drinking Chicago transplant now living in Portland, OR.

Before moving from Chicago in August of 2009, I had heard people talk about Portland, OR as the epicenter for all things beer. In my short time here, it's easy to see why Portland has earned that reputation.  In terms of beer, the contrast between Chicago and Portland could not be more different.  I can count the number of microbreweries in Chicagoland on one hand - so, the selection of beer, number of breweries and beer culture in the Pacific Northwest sets the stage for an entirely different beer scene.

The idea behind The Daily Pull is simple:  write about my experience with beer in the Pacific Northwest.
